Comparison Between Jeep Cherokee and Honda CR-V at AutoNation Chrysler Jeep Broadway

If you need a small crossover SUV, you have lots of choices, but two of the best are the Jeep Cherokee and the Honda CR-V. Read on to find how these two compare!
Jeep Cherokee VS Honda CR-V: Performance Information
The standard engines of the Jeep Cherokee and the Honda CR-V are roughly similar in performance: the Honda CR-V has a 2.4L four-cylinder engine that produces 185 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque, while the Jeep Cherokee has a 2.4L four-cylinder MultiAir engine that produces 184 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. They even both get 31 highway mpg. However, if you want a more powerful engine, you're out of luck with the CR-V--the 2.4L four-cylinder is the only engine available. With the Jeep Cherokee, you can upgrade to a 3.2L V6 engine that produces 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque! If you want a small crossover SUV with an option of more power, the Jeep Cherokee is the way to go.
Jeep Cherokee VS Honda CR-V: Safety Information

Both the Jeep Cherokee and the Honda CR-V are safe vehicles; however, the Cherokee has extra safety features that are more SUV specific. The CR-V has features like traction control, antilock brakes, airbags, tire pressure monitor and seatbelts--features that the Cherokee has, as well. But the Cherokee adds standard features like electronic roll mitigation and an enhanced accident response system. Standard and optional features on some trim levels include LaneSense lane departure warning, ParkView rear back-up camera, and forward collision warning with crash mitigation.
Jeep Cherokee VS Honda CR-V: Interior and Amenities

Of course, interior features and amenities play a huge part in making a decision, as well--nobody wants to be stuck driving an uncomfortable vehicle. So how do the two stack up? The Honda CR-V has air conditioning with air filtration across all but the highest trim level, which has dual-zone automatic climate control. The lowest Jeep Cherokee trim level also has air conditioning with air filtration, but all three trim levels above that have either standard or available automatic dual-zone temperature control with humidity sensor. The standard audio system on the lowest CR-V trim level has four speakers, while the standard system on all trim levels of the Jeep Cherokee has six--and there are available audio systems that have up to nine amplified speakers with subwoofer. The interior of the Jeep Cherokee is comfortable and luxurious, and, though it shares many features with the CR-V, the Cherokee gives you those better features at lower trim levels than the Honda.
