Distracted driving is defined by any activity that could divert a person's attention away from the primary task of driving. These include texting, reading, adjusting navigation system, eating, and more.  These distractions endanger driver, passenger, and bystander safety. Text messaging is probably the most commonly talked about form of distracted driving. It requires visual, manual, and cognitive attention from the driver, it is by far the most severe distraction. Distracted driving is a dangerous epidemic on America's roadways. The best way to end distracted driving is to educate all drivers, young and old, about its danger.
